Son Tra District is a beach area on the north side of peninsula that is visited by many domestic and foreign tourists. It is a very easily accessible area, about 15 minutes by taxi from Da Nang International Airport. It used to be a quiet fishing village, but now it is Da Nang's main resort area, lined with high-rise hotels and condotels similar to Waikiki Beach in Hawaii.
